Here are the Internet resources you will use to become an expert on your province or territory.
CBC4Kids: From the Main Menu on the Home Page, click on "Landscape". If the site does not open on the Home Page, scroll to the bottom and click on "Canada Day". Read this brief article about Canada's geographical regions. Next, click on "Links". Select "The National Atlas of Canada". Click on "Facts About Canada". Select "> >details" about any of these topics, but "National Parks" is especially helpful. Further information (FAQ) can be found by clicking "here" in the introductory paragraph.
Canada Info: From the Main Menu on the Home Page, click on "Provinces & Territories". Select your province or territory. This site provides good basic information, pictures you will need for the poster checklist, and famous people from all provinces except Newfoundland, P.E.I., New Brunswick, Yukon Territory, and Nunavut.
Communication Canada: This site provides lots of information on the land, history, people, and economy of each province and territory.
Portrait of Canada: This site is short. It provides cool basic facts and "firsts" for Canada in general. It is a fun site to read after you know something about your province or territory.
Famous Canadians: Scroll down and click on "Canadian Personalities" for an alphabetical listing. This site will be helpful if you know the name of someone born in your province or territory but have been unable to find any information about her/him elsewhere.
