 Activity #5    Research host and food plant for your butterfly.

You can attract butterflies to your garden by providing them with :

1) Host plants - Plants that butterflies lay eggs on with leaves the caterpillar eventually eats

2) Food Plants/Nectar - Plants that provide food for the butterfly

A good butterfly garden should provide both sunny and shady places where butterflies can cool off while they eat.

FINAL TASK

Create a slide show that includes the following information. You want your presentation to make your audience appreciate the benefits of a Butterfly Garden.

Slide #1 will be your Title slide with your name and the name of the butterfly

Slide #2 will include the information from this site...i.e.  Size, Description and a Picture of this butterfly

Slide #3 will include information on the types of plants your butterfly needs to survive as a caterpillar and a butterfly

Slide #4 will include interesting facts such as life span, predators, markings, etc.
